Description
Gewurztraminer has experienced a true renaissance in recent years. This grape variety with reddish berries comes from our neighboring wine village Tramin and today grows in almost every production zone around the world. Unlike many of the Gewürztraminers in the world, this one is vinified dry. The result is a fruity yet spicy character that you will not soon forget. Its aromatic richness, characterized by delicate spicy notes of cloves and delicate roses, makes it absolutely captivating. The wine is straw yellow in color. In the nose it has a spicy aroma of cloves, cinnamon, roses and lychee. Fruity and spicy, aromatic with a long finish. A flexible wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif but also goes well with spicy and intense dishes such as mushroom ravioli with black truffle, shellfish and Asian dishes.
The vineyards lie between 300 and 500m high along the South Tyrolean wine route, from Cortaccia to Termeno and Caldaro, and all the way to Appiano facing south and southeast. The terroir consists of limestone gravel and a small amount of gravel. Manual harvesting of the Gewurztraminer takes place from the end of September to the middle of October. Fermentation and development in stainless steel tanks.
