From the first contact, this wine shows its most important qualities: very fresh and very peppery. A unique character in the nose of black currants enriched with cherries, blackberries and bay leaves. The taste is creamy, typified undergrowth and has nice notes of candied red stone fruit. Its power is revealed in the aftertaste, fresh pepper accompanies an impressive length. Cuvée Les Quatre Vents is made mainly from Carignan and is supplemented with a very small amount of Grenache.
The plots, in total 50 hectares, are housed in the middle of rocks, scrubland and pine forests and follow the natural physiognomy of the place: hills, steep slopes and plains. Laurent de Besombes Singla found the way to reveal the amazing potential of this terroir. True to the grapes that love the sun of Roussillon, he creates some authentic wines, fine, elegant, full of earth are produced.
Since he took back the family farm, Laurent de Besombes has isolated the best tenements, 50 hectares in total, which bear the name Domaine Singla. He replaced herbicides, fertilizers and other synthetic products with natural materials such as horsehair, comfrey, lime, sulfur, nettle, fennel ... He revitalized the fields and worked through the seasons. Ever since in the wastelands, hedges and surrounding scrubland, the ecosystem took back its rights. The Domaine has been certified in organic farming since 2006.
