Thierry Beaumont operates a microscopic 8 hectare vineyard on one of Morey's finest 1er crus, Les Ruchots, lying just below Grand Cru Clos de Tart.This wine, purple in color, has elegant aromas of strawberries, raspberries and coffee.In the taste, the wine is smooth, silky with a nice aftertaste with hints of licorice and pepper.More rustic but just as fruity as Les Millandes.
The pinot noir grapes come from a clay-limestone soil in the Côte de Nuits.The vines are 70 years old.Aging for 12 months with 60% new oak.
