Morey Saint Denis is a transition between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny.True to its origins in the Côte de Nuits, it is a powerful and full-bodied wine.It offers a perfect balance between the subtlety of its aromas and the strength of its tannins. In the nose, the wine is spicy with aromas of blackberries, herbs and liquorice. On the palate it is full of ripe black fruit, nice and generous, light animal notes emerge.A wine with power and good length.
The pinot noir grapes come from clay and limestone soils lying in the Côte de Nuits. The vines are 48 years old.The wine is aged for 12 months in oak, 30% of which is new.
