Until the late 1970s, Pinot blanc and smaller quantities of Chardonnay were mostly vinified in mixed form as Pinot blanc.In 1982, Chardonnay was vinified for the first time in South Tyrol by the St. Michael-Eppan winery and has flourished enormously.It's wonderfully juicy and inviting, with a long-lasting persistence.The wine is bright yellow in color with a hint of green.The aromas are fruity with notes of apple, melon and banana.Fresh, juicy and persistent.A terrace wine for warm summer evenings.It also goes well with starters such as carpaccio, vitello tonato, pasta fredda and light dishes with cepes mushroom.
