Description
This wine is currently all the rage, an international bestseller. The grape, which actually comes from Burgundy, likes not only the South Tyrol climate, but also the soil conditions. It has found a second homeland here and has become the most commonly planted grape variety. It is appreciated for its freshness, nice acidity and pleasant, lingering finish. The color is straw yellow with a slight green sheen. The wine has a fruity aroma with scents of ripe pear and apple. In taste it is soft, refined and elegant. An uncomplicated aperitif wine. The uncomplicated aperitif wine is often drunk at trendy parties and scene events. Combines perfectly with ceviche with coriander, burrata or mozzarella with tomato and basil, sushi and sashimi.
The vineyards are located between 400 and 500m high in Appiano and Caldaro and are oriented southeast to southwest. The terroir consists of calcareous gravel soil. Manual east of the Pinot Grigio takes place from mid to late September. Some of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
