Leclerc Briant is a pioneering biodynamic Champagne house based in Épernay, known for its terroir-driven approach and deep respect for nature and soil. The estate has worked organically and biodynamically for decades, focusing on minimal intervention winemaking and vibrant, expressive wines.
The Réserve Extra Brut 2021 is a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay and reflects the house style: ripe yet precise, generous yet tightly structured. On the nose it shows green apple, citrus, apricot and mandarin, layered with almond, brioche, and subtle mineral and spicy notes such as flint and iodine.
On the palate it is lively and precise with a fine, creamy mousse. The mid-palate is driven by citrus and stone fruit, supported by a chalky mineral backbone. Low dosage keeps the wine dry, focused and pure, leading to a long, saline and refreshing finish.
