SDEN 2 Wine Course The Hague
'I Know More About Wine'
Would you like to go beyond the basics and really deepen your understanding of wine? Then SDEN 2 is a great next step. Over five evenings, we take a closer look at the world of wine. You’ll learn not only about grape varieties, wine regions and winemaking, but especially why a wine tastes the way it does.
Each evening we taste a range of wines from important wine countries and regions. You’ll become better at recognising flavours, aromas and wine styles, and discover how climate, soil, grape variety and winemaking all influence the character of a wine. In total, you’ll taste around 50 different wines. This means you’ll build not only your wine knowledge, but also valuable experience in tasting and assessing wine.
The lessons take place in our cosy tasting room behind the wine shop in The Hague. Theory and tasting go hand in hand, with plenty of room for questions and conversation. The course is taught by different vinologists from our team. Each has their own expertise, experience and passion for wine. This variety makes every lesson different and gives you the opportunity to discover wine from several perspectives.
SDEN 1 is a good preparation, but no previous wine qualification is required. The course is suitable for wine lovers who already have some knowledge, as well as people who work with wine professionally and want to deepen their expertise.
Please note: the course is taught entirely in Dutch. The official course book ‘Ik weet meer van wijn’ is also available in English and can be ordered separately if you prefer to study from an English-language book. The English-language book is not included in the course fee.
