Due del Monte Bianco Collio 2023

Due del Monte is located in the northeastern part of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the province of Gorizia, within the small and hilly Collio area on the border with Slovenia, stretching between the Isonzo and Judrio rivers. In this unique terroir, a dynamic interplay unfolds between man and nature, climate and soil.

The estate comprises 8 hectares of vineyards, divided into four parcels, all situated near the town of Cormons, the heart of the Collio region. These vineyards are spread across the slopes of Monte Quarin, benefiting from ideal exposure and a distinctive microclimate.

Due del Monte is the affectionate nickname of Miran and Salvador, two friends who in 2018 decided to purchase a winery and four vineyards together. “The two from the mountain,” as the name suggests.

Although not officially certified organic, they work entirely according to organic and sustainable principles: no chemicals, no pesticides. The two friends focus on strengthening the natural vitality of their vines, allowing them to thrive in their full biological strength. Combined with careful, controlled use of oak barrels, this approach results in wines of great depth, structure and power.
