Benoît Girardin is a young and highly promising producer from southern Burgundy, working parcels around Santenay and Meursault. His philosophy focuses on terroir expression, minimal intervention, and respect for old vines and limestone-rich soils. This approach results in wines defined by precision, energy and a clear sense of origin.
The 2024 Meursault is a classic expression of this prestigious Côte de Beaune appellation. The nose reveals ripe pear, citrus, peach and white flowers, layered with toasted hazelnut, almond and a subtle buttery note from lees ageing and partial oak influence.
On the palate the wine is rich and layered, balancing a creamy texture with vibrant acidity. The limestone soils provide a firm mineral backbone that keeps the wine precise and fresh despite its natural generosity.
The finish is long, elegant and lightly saline, combining ripe fruit and subtle toast. This is a Meursault that is both approachable and deep, showing the appellation’s signature harmony of power, finesse and minerality.
