The whisky is distilled in Scotland from a combination of malted and unmalted grains. The blend consists mainly of grain whisky, complemented by malt whisky for additional character. It is then matured for four years in carefully selected, previously used oak whisky casks. Maturation takes place in the remarkable underground cellars of Michel Couvreur in Bouze-lès-Beaune, in the French Burgundy region. The conditions in these cellars allow the aromas to develop gradually and the whisky to acquire a beautifully rounded character.

In the glass, The Unique displays a light golden colour. The nose is particularly inviting and refined, revealing fresh, slightly saline aromas, almond and delicate floral notes. These are followed by gentle vanilla and fruity hints of white fruit. The overall impression is fresh and elegant, without heavy oak or pronounced sherry influences.
