In 1968, their father, Sandro Silvano, and uncle, Alfredo Silvano, began producing wines, which they initially sold to the Cantina Comunale in Canale. In the early 2000s, their son, Silvano Nizza, decided to leave his job at the Ferrero factory in Alba and continue his father and uncle's life's work. Out of respect for family traditions, he began producing authentic wines under his own label.
Silvano Nizza owns 8 hectares of vineyards near his family home, Ca' Boscarone in Santo Stefano Roero, as well as in the neighboring municipalities of Montà and Canale. The main grape varieties he grows are Arneis, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Bracchetto.
He chooses to produce authentic wines through progressive innovation and the use of new techniques, while emphasizing the specific terroir of Roero.
