The wine is soft and has fresh acids, it is well balanced and has a long finish. The wine has been aged for 3 months in both French and American wooden barrels.
The Encosta de Guadiana winery is owned by the Branco family. They have owned the vineyards here for more than a century, but it was José Branco who started a new company here in 2002. Completely modern and equipped with the latest technologies. Currently, around 1.5 million bottles are marketed annually, in different qualities. The Branco family mainly works with local grape varieties, supplemented with some varieties from the north of Portugal and France.
In addition to fantastic wines, they also make a delicious olive oil.
