Tokinoka is produced by Eigashima Shuzo at the White Oak Distillery, located in Akashi, Japan. This family-owned company has a long history of producing exceptional spirits and is one of the pioneers of Japanese whisky production. The name Tokinoka can be loosely translated as 'the scent of time', a beautiful reference to the influence that maturation and oak barrels have on the character of whisky.
Tokinoka Black is a blend of malt whisky and grain whisky. Together, they create a smooth and approachable whisky with plenty of character. What makes this particular expression special is its additional maturation in former Oloroso sherry casks.
