Domaine Baud Génération 9 L'Étoile opens with an expressive nose of green apple, apricot, and a mineral, almost salty undertone, complemented by subtle accents of hazelnut and melon.
On the palate, the wine displays a beautiful freshness, with a tight, mineral structure that balances the ripe apple and apricot notes. The 100% Chardonnay gives the wine a soft & full character, while the lively acidity ensures a refreshing, balanced finish.
Domaine Baud Génération 9 is a family estate in Le Vernois, in the heart of the Jura, with roots dating back to 1742. Since January 1, 2016, the estate has been led by the ninth generation, Bastien and Clémentine Baud, who continue the 25-hectare vineyard with respect for the craft and the terroirs passed down for nine generations. L'Étoile is one of the smallest and most exclusive appellations of the Jura, located near Château-Chalon, and is known for white wines based on Chardonnay, Savagnin, and Poulsard. The estate cultivates approximately 3 hectares here, a small but high-quality part of the company's total 25 hectares.
