It is the most awarded wine in international competitions, which just goes to show that although Sicily is known as a red wine producing region, it also makes fantastic white wines. An innovative blend of 70% Grillo, an excellent indigenous Sicilian grape variety, with 30% French Viognier, which enjoys perfect growing conditions in Santa Tresa. The minerality and freshness of the Grillo is perfectly complemented by the intensity and body of the Viognier. "Rina Ianca" means "white sand" in the Sicilian dialect. Only the Rina Ianca is not white, but is a bit straw yellow in color. Layered with yellow fruits such as peaches, which gradually develop into notes of apricots and spices on the nose. In the mouth it has a beautiful minerality, well balanced with a wonderful softness in the aftertaste. A perfect accompaniment to antipasti with seafood or shellfish, a strong Sicilian fish soup or risotto made with squid. Don't drink it too cold. It tastes best at 10-12°C.
