Cantina Bolzano Pinot Bianco / Weissburgunder 2023
This Pinot Bianco from Cantina Bolzano is the signature wine of this cooperative. The taste is aromatic and clean at the same time. Sultry creamy notes next to alpine freshness; the wine lands in the glass like bottled pure mountain air. Read more
Cantina Bolzano is a cooperative of more than two hundred winegrowers who together manage more than three hundred hectares of beautifully situated vineyards in Bolzano and the surrounding area.
The grapes for the red wine, from Cabernet to Lagrein, ripen in Gries, San Maurizio, Settequerce, Santa Maddalena and Coste, at an altitude of between two hundred and one thousand metres.
A little higher up, the grapes for the white wine, from Pinot Grigio to Gewürztraminer, enjoy the sun at Missiano, San Giorgio, Santa Giustina and Renon.
The vineyards for this wine, located on the St. Magdalena, have been planted with this "Weissburgunder" since time immemorial. Planting the much more commercial Pinot Grigio there has never even been considered. In this way, this wine embodies the respect for authenticity and tradition that is so characteristic of the Alto Adige region.
