The Teanum Winery is located in the north of Puglia, the so-called Testa della Puglia. The proximity of two coastal lakes (Lesina and Varano), a promontory (the Gargano), a mountain range (Monti Dauni) and a vast flat area (the Tavoliere delle Puglie) makes this a unique area for growing grapes. The location close to the Adriatic Sea ensures cooling of the vineyards in this hot climate. This ensures that the wines have freshness and complexity.
The name 'Teanum' refers to the ancient Teanum Apulum, a Roman city that symbolizes the rich history of the region. Teanum has a complete line dedicated to local grapes such as Bombino, Nero di Troia, Primitivo and Falanghina. They have 150 hectares of vineyards spread over five terroirs and use the latest wine growing techniques.
