Pfaffl Wien 1 Riesling/Grüner Veltliner/Pinot Blanc 2024

Afkomstig van de wijngaarden 'Herrenholz' en 'Praschen', die zich bevinden op een plateau met een prachtig uitzicht over de stad Wenen. De bodem bestaat gedeeltelijk uit 'Flysch', een lokale benaming voor klei en zandsteen. De wijnstokken zijn ongeveer 17 jaar oud.

De druiven worden ontsteeld, gekneusd en geperst. De gisting vindt plaats op een gecontroleerde temperatuur van 18 graden in RVS tanks.

"Smart screwcap. Seems more Grüner than Riesling on the nose, with a stony citrus aroma and a hint of white peaches, though that may be because the bottle is quite cold. As it warms up in the glass, the Riesling is more in evidence in a spicy minerality. Fresh and juicy on the palate, relatively light but no lack of citrus freshness.
