Glistening bright red in the glass with aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate. Fruity, slim and elegant red. In our opinion, the perfect red summer wine. Serve it slightly chilled and with a grilled tuna steak. Read more
Sicily as a wine region is becoming more and more fun because it makes so many wines from all those indigenous varieties. This is made from the Frappato grape, a grape from the southeast of Sicily with a soft taste and little tannin. Quite unique that we find it here as a mono-varietal wine as it usually disappears in a blend with Nero d'Avola or Nerello Mascalese. It has an aromatic character. The scent is fresh with ripe red cherry fruit and sweet North African herbs. In the taste, the cherry fruit is again delicious with nice fresh acidity and little to no tannin. The fruitiness is clearly paramount here. Organically made. An excellent summer wine. We say, drink it a little chilled and it will give you a lot of juicy drinking pleasure. Can be served with some tasty snacks.

"...this is textbook Frappato, delicate, bright and fresh. Bright cherry red in colour, this is summer pudding in a glass, with aromas and a mouthwatering purity of crushed wild strawberries, raspberries and pomegranate. It's lean and elegant and a perfect summer red. Try it served ever so slightly chilled, with grilled tuna."
The grapes from the Santa Tresa estate have therefore been grown organically for many years. In 2006 it was decided to have this officially registered. As of the 2009 harvest, the entire production is also officially certified as organic wine.
