Viña Elena Bruma del Estrecho Finca CQ 2024 is a carefully crafted single‑estate red wine from Jumilla, Spain, sourced from the Finca Casa Quemada, located at about 700 meters in the Sierra de la Cingla. This region is known for its warm, sunny climate, combined with cool nights, which produce grapes with a perfect balance of ripe fruit and fresh acidity. The vineyards sit on diverse soils, including limestone, clay, and sand, contributing to the wine’s complexity and structure.
The wine is made from 100% Monastrell, a native Spanish grape celebrated for its deep color, intense aromas, and firm tannins. The grapes are fully hand-harvested, ensuring careful selection of the best clusters. In the cellar, fermentation takes place with native yeasts, without the addition of commercial yeasts, allowing the wine to reflect the pure character of the grape and its terroir. After fermentation, the wine is aged for around seven months in a combination of French oak and concrete tanks, adding subtle complexity and texture while preserving the fresh, expressive fruit.
In the glass, the 2024 edition shows a deep ruby color. The bouquet opens with aromas of ripe dark berries, cherries, and subtle spice notes, complemented by hints of Mediterranean herbs, cocoa, and a light mineral undertone reflecting the vineyard soils. On the palate, the wine is full and layered, with soft, integrated tannins and lively acidity that keeps the structure balanced. The flavor combines concentrated red and dark fruit with gentle spice and mineral tension, creating an elegant and harmonious experience.
Viña Elena Bruma del Estrecho Finca CQ 2024 is a wine that clearly reflects the Jumilla terroir: a Mediterranean expression of Monastrell with power, finesse, and character. It is concentrated, complex, and well-balanced, presenting the diversity of the soils and Viña Elena’s craftsmanship in a clear and refined way. A single‑estate wine with a long, persistent finish and subtle elegance, it showcases both the grape and its place with precision and harmony.
